Education grants for teachers (kindergarten – 12th grade)

The Oregon State Credit Union Education Grant Program exists to fund materials and supplies for teachers of school children (kindergarten through high school) within our field of membership.

Apply for a grant: awards up to $300

We look for educational programming ideas from teachers that enhance, not duplicate, the standard school curriculum.

  • Use our grant application form during the time periods applications are accepted. Grant application periods are:

    • 1/11/21, 8 a.m. to 1/19/21, 5 p.m. — This grant period is now complete. If you applied, you’ll receive a response to your request by the end of February.

    • 10/4/21, 8 a.m. to 10/12/21, 5 p.m. — You’ll receive a response to your request by the end of November.

Helpful tips for completing a grant application

  • Specify how grant funds will benefit students (K-12) by enhancing, not duplicating, standard curriculum.

  • Examples of successful grant requests include: books, including audio books; calculators; educational magazine subscriptions; materials to build a school green house; supplies for a renewable energy project; science supplies. See previous awards | Photos and details

  • Target a significant number of students.

  • Include detailed learning goals and specifics for how the funds will be used.

  • Show how the funds can benefit future students.

  • Document additional funding sources if needed to make the project a success.

  • Updates from teachers: We'll request project updates from all teachers who receive a grant award. The updates help us get the word out to other educators about grant opportunities.
